Wielding a green wooden Louisville Slugger baseball bat, Robert Keene’s killer beat him to death in a narrow alley behind a convenience store. He robbed Keene of $1. With that dollar, two of the killer’s friends bought coffee. And went back to view the corpse. That’s the story told by North Miami detectives Tuesday, hours after they charged white supremacist Robert W. Saunders, 42, with Keene’s murder — 21 years after his bloodied body was found behind a 7-11.
