FOCUS Information Agency – Italy rallies recall end of fascist rule
Tens of thousands of people marched in Rome and other Italian cities on Friday to mark Italy’s liberation from fascism and the Nazi occupation 63 years ago. Organisers said some 40,000 marchers in Rome commemorated the insurrection that reclaimed several northern cities from the fascist regime of dictator Benito Mussolini and the liberation of rest of the World War II allies.
