About two-dozen protesters held up signs and greeted at least 150 guests arriving at San Diego attorney Charles LiMandri’s Rancho Santa Fe home Saturday, August 16 for a $100-a-head pro-Prop 8 fundraiser. According to a flier from the San Diego County Republican Party, guests were to include congressional candidates Duncan D. Hunter and Michael Crimmins. According to Californians Against Hate, a grassroots group that has held several direct actions in Southern California, protesters greeted guests at the front gate and handed them copies of a fact sheet entitled, “What Real Republican Leaders Past and Present Said on Civil Rights and Campaigns Against Gays and Lesbians.”
