A Moscow city court has pronounced seven members of a skinhead gang guilty of 20 racially motivated murders and 12 counts of attempted murder. The jury had to answer 280 questions in their deliberations on coming to a verdict. Five of those on trial admitted their guilt, while Ryno himself admitted to participating in 37 murders. The jurors found Ryno and Skachevsky undeserving of lenience. The jury recommended the remaining five be given the minimum punishement in accordance with the crime. Most of them were underage, with most members ranging in age from 15 and 22 at the time of the crime. Investigators say they targeted people of non-Slavic appearance, mostly from Central Asia and the Caucasus. The gang beat and often killed their victims, filming the attacks on mobile phones and posting the video on the internet.

The jury has found seven members of the Ryno-Skachevsky skinhead gang guilty of multiple racially motivated murders and attacks and passed a not guilty verdict on two, Moscow City Court press secretary Anna Usachyova told Itar-Tass. „The jury passed the guilty verdict on Artur Ryno, Pavel Skachevsky, Roman Kuzin, Vitaly Nikitin, Alexander Anikin, Ivan Kitaikin and Denis Lavrinenkov. The jury said that all of them but Ryno and Skachevsky deserved leniency,” she noted. The jury announced not guilty Svetlana Avvakumova and Nikolai Dagayev over the lack of evidence to crime events. The ballot was 50/50, and the court took the side of the suspects. The verdict on the aforesaid seven members of the gang was almost unanimous.
