Das Oberlandesgericht Frankfurt am Main hat laut einem Bericht des ARD-Textes die Rechte der Presse gestärkt. Der hessische Landesdienst des Evangelischen Pressedienstes darf weiterhin ein Zitat des Parlamentarischen Staatssekretärs im Justizministerium, Alfred Hartenbach, verbreiten, wonach die Wochenzeitung “Junge Freiheit” von der NPD gelenkt werde.

Der Berliner Verlag «Junge Freiheit» darf als «von der Jugendorganisation der NPD gelenkt» bezeichnet werden. Das entschied das Oberlandesgericht Frankfurt am Main und wies damit zwei Anträge auf die Abgabe einer Unterlassungserklärung sowie den Abdruck einer Gegendarstellung gegen einen christlichen Verlag ab. Dieser hatte eine entsprechende Äußerung eines Staatssekretärs zitiert. Das OLG sah in dem Zitat eine erlaubte Meinungsäußerung (Urteile vom 26.02.2009, Az.: 16 U 152/08 und 16 U 170/08); epd gewinnt gegen „Junge Freiheit“. Der evangelische Pressedienst (epd) hat im Rechtsstreit gegen den Verlag der rechtskonservativen Wochenzeitung „Junge Freiheit“ gewonnen. Das Oberlandesgericht Frankfurt entschied, dass die Aussage, das Blatt werde von der Jugendorganisation der NPD gelenkt, zulässig sei. Der SPD-Politikers Alfred Hartenbach hatte dies behauptet, epd hatte das Zitat verbreitet.

Noch zum Jahreswechsel galt die für den 7. März 2009 geplante Demonstration zum 2000. Jahrestag der Varusschlacht im Teutoburger Wald in Neonazi-Kreisen als ambitionierter Versuch, “alle Teile des Nationalen Widerstandes” in Norddeutschland zu motivieren. Nicht einmal vier Wochen später geben die Demonstrationsvorbereitungen vor allem einen tiefen Einblick in die Zerrissenheit der norddeutschen Neonazi-Szene. (…) Doch die so sehr beschworene Einheit im Schatten des Hermannsdenkmals bröckelt rapide und macht Platz für den internen Zwist. Kritik kommt u.a. von dem norddeutschen Neonazi Thomas “Steiner” Wulff, der zu einem Boykott der Veranstaltung aufrief. Der Grund: Auf der Rednerliste ist neben Udo Pastörs und Peter Naumann auch Andreas Molau vorgesehen. Dies sei eine Verhöhnung des Cheruskerfürsten und seiner Bemühung um Einheit “im Kampf gegen die Feinde unseres Volkes”, wettert Wulff und wirft dem ehemaligen Kandidaten für den NPD-Bundesvorsitz Spaltung der eigenen Reihen vor. Statt nach Osnabrück zu fahren, solle man am 7. März lieber an einem Neonazi-Aufmarsch in Dessau teilnehmen. Scharfe Kritik übt auch der Neonazi Christian Worch, der es ablehnt, den Demonstrationsaufruf zu verbreiten und auf dessen Anhang hinweist. Darin wird ebenso der Verzicht auf Anglizismen gefordert wie auf “Kleidungsstücke, deren Aufdrucke Anglizismen enthalten oder zur Gewalt aufrufen oder diese verherrlichen”. Für Worch als regelmäßiger Anmelder von Märschen für “Autonome Nationalisten” (AN) ein Versuch, dieses Klientel gemäß den Wünschen der NPD von der Veranstaltung auszuschließen.

Neonazis planen offenbar Aufmarsch in Mainz am 1. Mai +++ Antifa kündigt Gegenaktionen an +++ Antifa-Sprecher: „Sollte es zu diesem Aufmarsch kommen, werden wir entsprechend reagieren.“ Neonazis haben für den 1. Mai einen Aufmarsch in Mainz angekündigt. In neonazistischen Internet-Foren und auf der Seite der so genannten „Kameradschaft Nordpfalz“ wird für einen Demonstration unter dem Motto: „Sozial geht nur National“ geworben. Dieses Motto nutzt die NS-Szene seit Jahren für ihre Mai-Mobilisierungen. Dahinter steht die Ideologie eines völkischen Antikapitalismus, der auf einer falschen Auffassung über die kapitalistischen Vergesellschaftung basiert. Die Forderung nach einer an „Volk und Heimat orientierten nationalen Volkswirtschaft“ ist in der Konsequenz antisemitisch und rassistisch. „Unabhängig vom konkreten ideologischen Gehalt des Aufrufs ist es immer und überall unterträglich, wenn WiedergängerInnen der nationalsozialistischen MassenmörderInnen aufmarschieren.“, meint Christian Struck, Sprecher des AK Antifa Mainz. Daher kündigt der AK Antifa für den Fall des Aufmarschs Gegenaktionen an. Hinter der Anmeldung steht die so genannte „Initiative Südwest“, unter deren Namen schon Aufmärsche in Alzey sowie in Saulheim und Wörrstadt angemeldet wurden. Als Anmelder fungierte mehrfach der NPD-Aktivist Matthias Kairies, der vermutlich auch diesmal Anmelder ist. Die Gruppe steht in engem Kontakt zur Szene um den führenden NS-Kader in der Region Mainz/Wiesbaden Mario Matthes. So verwundert es auch nicht, dass neben den NPD-Kreisverbänden Naheland und Alzey-Worms auch die von Matthes gegründeten „Nationalen Sozialisten Mainz-Bingen“ als Unterstützer unter dem Aufruf stehen.

A political party best known for targeting the Roma community with frequent violent rhetoric and occasional physical violence faces possible abolition at the hands of the government, but vows to march on regardless. The Czech Supreme Administrative Court is expected to rule on a potential ban for the right-wing Workers’ Party (DS) March 4, but the party leadership says the ruling is virtually irrelevant. (…) Activists point to increased cooperation between the DS and radical groups in neighboring countries. Kalibová says the party has also recently allied itself with the National Resistance – a right-wing group with overt neo-Nazi ties – adding that violence has since markedly increased. Vandas says the DS is increasing cooperation with the Nationaldemokratische Partei Deutschlands (NDP), a successor to the German Reich Party, as well as the right-wing Slovenská pospolitosť in Slovakia. „As we grow, we will be able to focus on this more,“ he said.

The Czech police have accused one woman of rioting and assaulting a public official during a brawl of some 70 Romanies in the centre of Brno on Tuesday, police spokesman Pavel Svab said on Thursday. The woman attacked one policeman with tear gas, he added. The reason for the mass brawl is not known yet. However, according to the police, the abduction of a Romany girl to Slovakia might be behind it. The police will investigate the case of abduction, Svab said.

South Bohemian Romanies are opposed to the removal of the pig farm in Lety, that stands on the site of a wartime interment camp for Romanies, now that there is the economic crisis, saying the money can be spent more effectively, Matej Sarkoezy said today. Sarkoezy spoke to journalists on behalf of local Romany leaders after their meeting with South Bohemia regional governor Jiri Zimola (opposition Social Democrats, CSSD). The hundreds of millions of crowns can be used more effectively. South Bohemian Romanies would be satisfied with the reconstruction of the current memorial at the site to become a dignified place, Sarkoezy said. About 30 million crowns could be spent on the reconstruction within which mainly a new access road and toilets should be built on the site, added. Michael Kocab, the new minister for human rights and minorities, recently said the solving of the Lety pig farm problem is one of his priorities. South Bohemian Romanies, nevertheless, are opposed to the cost-intensive plan to buy out and pull down the pig farm. „The country is faced with economic recession. We don’t want the majority society to have another reason to complain about South Bohemian Romanies. We don’t need hundreds of millions of crowns for the pig farm’s abolition,“ Sarkoezy said.

Litvinov – The Czech far right Workers’ Party (DS) has appointed a shadow mayor of Litvinov as an expression of disagreement with the authorities’ approach to the solution of the situation in Litvinov’s housing estate Janov mainly populated by Romanies, the party told CTK today. „The appointment was also a consequence of Tuesday’s events in Janov that demonstrated incompetence of Minister for Human Rights and Ethnic Minorities Michael Kocar, and an arrogant course adopted by members of the Litvinov town hall and by the local Romanies, DS deputy chairman Jiri Stepanek said. The DS appointed Vladan Renak, a foreign language teacher at a grammar school in the nearby Most, as Litvinov mayor. Stepanek said that Renak would be in the opposition to the current town authorities until the next local elections. Litvinov Mayor Milan Stovicek (senior ruling Civic Democrats, ODS) said the DS’s decision was its internal affairs.

A cross and swastika are burned at an event called Hated and Proud in Nebraska in July 2008.  Black, a 55-year-old former Ku Klux Klan Grand Wizard, isn’t the only person who holds such firm beliefs, according to the Southern Poverty Law Center, which today released its annual hate group report. The center’s report, „The Year in Hate,“ found the number of hate groups grew by 54 percent since 2000. The study identified 926 hate groups — defined as groups with beliefs or practices that attack or malign an entire class of people — active in 2008. That’s a 4 percent jump, adding 38 more than the year before. What makes this year’s report different is that hate groups have found two more things to be angry about — the nation’s first African-American president and an economy that is hemorrhaging jobs. For the past decade, Latino immigration has fueled the growth of hate groups. The homemade grenade, tossed late Thursday night into the Orthodox Beit Shmuel synagogue, damaged windows and a car; no injuries were reported. It was the second such attack this year on a Jewish site in Caracas. Eleven people, including eight policemen, are under arrest for vandalizing a Caracas synagogue last month. In that attack, the walls were painted with anti-Semitic slogans, religious objects were damaged and thieves stole a database listing Venezuela’s Jews.

The editors of Oxford University newspaper Cherwell have resigned, despite saying they were not responsible for a spoof edition that mocked the Holocaust, referred to black people in racist terms and superimposed pictures of students and academics onto pornographic images. Titled the Lecher, the spoof edition had a front-page piece on two students sexually abusing and killing babies, while another article featured a mocked-up picture of a former Cherwell editor in Ku Klux Klan-style clothing giving a Nazi salute. bout 50 copies of the satirical edition were handed out during a meal held by the weekly paper’s editorial team at the end of November. It is a tradition to publish a spoof of Cherwell, which publishes 15,000 copies each week, at the end of each term as the old editors hand over to their replacements. Last week copies of the Lecher were leaked, leading to massive condemnation by Oxford University students. This week Sian Cox-Brooker and Michael Bennett, this term’s joint editors of Cherwell, resigned. The pair said they were not responsible for the satirical edition but offered an apology on behalf of Cherwell.

Bishop Richard Williamson has yet to recant his Holocaust denial, said the Anti-Defamation League (ADL), which today called his most recent attempt to apologize for the controversy surrounding his denial of the existence of the Nazi gas chambers, „a sham.“ In a statement published by Zenit news agency, the schismatic Roman Catholic bishop said he regretted having made remarks in an interview denying the existence of the Nazi gas chambers and downplaying the full extent of the Holocaust. „This is another sham statement that doesn’t recant any of his earlier remarks about the Holocaust,“ said Abraham H. Foxman, ADL National Director and a Holocaust survivor. „Bishop Williamson must unequivocally acknowledge the full extent of the Holocaust and recognize the fact of the existence of the gas chambers. He must make clear that six million Jews were systematically murdered by the Nazi regime.“ Williamson, a member of the schismatic Society of St. Pius X, was among four priests whose excommunications were lifted by the Vatican on January 24. In an interview broadcast weeks earlier on Swedish television, he suggested that no more than 300,000 people died in the Holocaust and denied the existence of the gas chambers. In the wake of Williamson’s remarks, Pope Benedict XVI strongly condemned Holocaust denial and reaffirmed the importance of the reforms of Vatican II.

Germany will give €1 million ($1.3 million) for badly needed restoration work at the Auschwitz death camp museum in neighboring Poland. Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier says the donation followed an appeal from Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk to all 27 European Union members to contribute to a fund to preserve the Nazi-built camp. The Polish government says it needs up to €100 million for restoration work at the camp.

Seit Beginn der Wirtschaftskrise hetzten rechtsradikale Gruppen gegen die «Sündenböcke» Roma und Juden. Jetzt ist in Ungarn aus den Brandreden brutaler Mord geworden. Der Brand brach am Montag in den frühen Morgenstunden aus. Die Familie versuchte, die Flammen selbst zu löschen. Doch die Attentäter hatten Benzin vergossen, das Feuer breitete sich rasch aus. Also nahm der 27-jährige Robert Csorba seine Kinder und rannte mit ihnen aus dem Haus – direkt vor den Gewehrlauf des im Dunklen lauernden Mörders. Csorba wurde laut Zeitungsberichten von Schrotkugeln fünfmal in der Brust getroffen und starb mit seinem fünfjährigen Sohn. Ein anderes Kind überlebte schwer verletzt. Hier wird nicht ein Lynchmord des Ku-Klux-Klans in den 60er-Jahren beschrieben. Die Szene ereignete sich diese Woche im ungarischen Tatarszentgyörgy, 40 Kilometer südöstlich von Budapest. Die Opfer des Brandanschlags sind Roma. Die Polizei sprach zu Beginn von einem Kurzschluss im Haus und begann erst nach Protesten eines Roma-Politikers den Fall als Verbrechen zu behandeln.

Die Behörden vermuten Zusammenhänge zu einem ähnlichen Doppelmord an einem Roma-Ehepaar im November in der ostungarischen Ortschaft Nagycsécs.

Der Beratungsverein Lobbi hat im vergangenen Jahr mehr als 100 rechtsmotivierte Angriffe in MV registriert. Neben Boizenburg sei Gadebusch ein regionaler Schwerpunkt. Inzwischen wächst die Sorge, dass Neonazis in die Dorfparlamente einziehen könnten. Schmiererei mit rechten Parolen am alternativen Jugendtreff, Hassparolen am Wahlkreisbüro einer linken Bundestagsabgeordneten und Bedrohungen sowie Angriffe von Jugendlichen – der Beratungsverein listet diese und weitere Zwischenfälle in der Bilanz 2008 auf. Nach Angaben des Beratungsvereins Lobbi ist Gadebusch neben Boizenburg ein regionaler Schwerpunkt rechter Übergriffe. Ziel seien vor allem alternative Jugendliche, bei einem Viertel der Attacken war Rassismus das Motiv.
