Warum ist Ihnen dieses Thema besonders wichtig? Sander: Bei dem Naziaufmarsch in Dresden handelt es sich um eine der größten Zusammenkünfte von Alt- und Neonazis in ganz Europa. Für neonazistische Gruppierungen in der BRD ist der Aufmarsch von zentraler Bedeutung, da sie mit dem Thema »Gedenken an die deutsche Zivilbevölkerung« an geschichtsrevisionistische Positionen eines nicht zu unterschätzenden Teils der Bevölkerung anknüpfen können. Zudem hat der Aufmarsch eine starke Binnenwirkung für das zerstrittene Spektrum der Neonazis. Bei keiner anderen Veranstaltung gelingt das Zusammentreffen von NPD, sogenannten »freien« Kameradschaften mit Burschenschaften und Teilen der Vertriebenenverbände so unkompliziert wie in Dresden.

Oldenburger Gleichstellungsbeauftrage gibt der NPD nach

Eine peinliche Vorstellung liefert einem Medienbericht zufolge die Oldenburger Gleichstellungsbeauftrage Dr. Ina-Maja Lemke-Hadick. Sie soll die Rechtsextremismusexpertin Andrea Röpke wieder ausgeladen haben, nachdem die NPD angekündigt hatte zu erscheinen.

JF-Abokampagne: Ein positiver Rückgang?

Seit Mitte September läuft nun schon die JF-Abokampagne. 2.000 neue Abonnements sind das ehrgeizige Ziel. Seit mehreren Wochen stagniert nun aber schon die Zahl der Neuabonnenten. Muss man sich um das Überleben der „Jungen Freiheit“ sorgen? Mit dem Minimalziel von 2.000 Abonnenten bis Jahresende wäre die JF wirtschaftlich gesichert und der „konservative Faktor (…) entscheidend gestärkt“, erklärte JF-Chef Dieter Stein zum Auftakt der Kampagne. Von diesem Ziel ist man momentan weit entfernt. Gerade einmal 578 Abos mehr konnte die Wochenzeitung seither verbuchen. Wöchentlich werden Wasserstandsmeldungen abgegeben. In der aktuellen Woche gab es einen Verlust von acht Abos. Bei der JF zeigt der grüne Pfeil trotzdem nach oben. Realitätsverlust oder positives Denken?

Etwa 500 Teilnehmer wurden nach Angaben der Polizei am Samstag in Recklinghausen bei einem Neonazi-Aufmarsch unter dem Motto „Für ein Recht auf Zukunft – Arbeit, Freiheit, Brot durch nationalen Sozialismus“ gezählt. Dominiert wurde die Demonstration durch „parteifreie“ Neonazis. Auch unter den Rednern war mit dem Bundesvorsitzenden der Jungen Nationaldemokraten, Michael Schäfer, nur einer aus dem Spektrum der NPD. Ansonsten sprachen unter anderem Christian Worch, der den Aufmarsch auch angemeldet hatte, Sven Skoda aus Düsseldorf, Dieter Riefling aus Niedersachsen, der früher unter anderem als Recklinghäuser „Kreisbeauftragter“ der 1995 verbotenen Freiheitlichen Deutschen Arbeiterpartei (FAP) in der Region aktiv war, und ein Vertreter des Bulgarischen Nationalbundes.

NPD-Gotha will die „Gefallenen des letzten großen Krieges“ in ihre Reihen zurückrufen // erstmals Protest gegen alljährliches NS-Zeremoniell in der Kleinstadt Am 15. November 2009 zogen 120 – laut Angaben der Polizei und der Veranstalter 140 –Neonazis durch den „staatlich anerkannten Luftkurort“ Friedrichroda im thüringischen Landkreis Gotha. Unter dem Motto „Heldengedenken an die Gefallenen beider Weltkriege“ meldete erstmals der gegenwärtige Kreisvorsitzende der NPD-Gotha und Vorstandsmitglied der Landes-NPD, Sebastian Reiche für den Kreisverband den Aufmarsch an. In den zurückliegenden Jahren trat der Friedrichrodaer Michael Burkert für den Kreisverband noch als Anmelder für den Fackelmarsch auf, der sich bereits zum siebenten Mal jährte. Nachdem in den ersten Jahren noch sehr wenige Teilnehmer zu dem extrem rechten Gedenkschauspiel in Thüringen anreisten, waren seit 2007 stets bis zu 140 Neonazis dem Aufruf gefolgt, wie ein Polizeisprecher bestätigte. Erstmals gab es in diesem Jahr eine Gegenveranstaltung zu dem Neonazi-Fackelmarsch.

Vorratsdatenspeicherung verstößt gegen Menschenrechte

Urteil des Verfassungsgerichtshofs veröffentlicht – Unbeteiligte gelangen zu leicht in den Fokus der Behörden. KritikerInnen verweisen seit geraumer Zeit darauf, dass sich die geplante EU-weite Vorratsdatenspeicherung nicht mit der Menschenrechts-Charta vereinbaren lässt. Eine Einschätzung, die nun erstmals ein europäisches Verfassungsgericht teilt. So hat der rumänische Verfassungsgerichtshof bereits vor einigen Wochen den Entwurf zur Vorratsdatenspeicherung als verfassungswidrig verworfen. Seit kurzem gibt es nun die schriftliche Begründung, die der „Arbeitskreis Vorratsdatenspeicherung“ auf Deutsch übersetzt hat.

Der Arbeitskreis Vorratsdatenspeicherung hat heute die deutsche Übersetzung eines Urteils des Verfassungsgerichtshofs Rumäniens (Curtea Constituţională a României) veröffentlicht, der das rumänische Gesetz zur sechsmonatigen Vorratsspeicherung aller Verbindungs-, Standort- und Internetzugangsdaten am 8. Oktober 2009 als verfassungswidrig verworfen hat. Der Arbeitskreis Vorratsdatenspeicherung fordert die Bundesregierung nun auf, die Vorratsdatenspeicherung auch in Deutschland sofort abzuschaffen.

Flick-Sarg aufgetaucht: Polizei bestätigt Fund

Er wurde am Sonntag in Ungarn sichergestellt. Nachdem ein Zeitungsbericht über die Sicherstellung des vor gut einem Jahr samt sterblichen Überresten gestohlenen Sargs des Multimilliardärs Friedrich Karl Flick am Montag vorerst heftig dementiert wurde, kam am Nachmittag plötzlich die Bestätigung des Bundeskriminalamtes. Demzufolge wurde der Sarg am Sonntag in Ungarn sichergestellt und den österreichischen Behörden übergeben. Auch die Familie sei informiert worden, hieß es

Nazi on Trial: “I’m very proud of my Waffen SS service”

An accused Nazi told a packed court in Germany that he was proud of his work for the notorious Nazi SS during World War II in Holland. Eighty-eight year old Heinrich Boere is standing trial in Aachen, Germany for his participation in an SS death squad that murdered Dutch civilians. Without hesitation during his trial on Friday, the Dutch-German Boere told the court that he was proud of being chosen as a volunteer to fight for the Nazis. According to the prosecution, he killed a bicycle-shop owner, a pharmacist and another civilian. He faces a possible sentence of life in prison if convicted since Germany does not have capital punishment.

Leading BNP member quits Cumbria party

One of the leading lights in the British National Party in Cumbria has quit saying he is ‘sick of defending them.’ Alistair Barbour, 44, of Southwaite, was expected to be the BNP’s General Election candidate in Carlisle. He says he has become disillusioned with party politics and says he may stand as an Independent in local authority elections. He is already a parish councillor in Southwaite. Mr Barbour said: “I joined the BNP two years ago and was perhaps a little bit naive. “I don’t agree with everything they stand for and I’m sick of defending them.”

Organiser of neo-Nazi march sentenced to community work | Prague Monitor

Czech Tomas Babka, 22, was Friday sentenced to 300 hours of community work for his abusive statements on Jews during a march of rightist extremists that he organised in Plzen in March. Babka originally faced up to two years in prison for incitement of racial hatred towards a group of people. Babka confessed to the controversial statements, but he declined that they had promoted fascism and Nazism. He also denied having supported rightist radicals. According to the police files, Babka spoke up at the end of a march „against Zionism“ on March 14. „Jointly for the idea of national socialism. Public resistance is a duty where injustice rules,“ Babka is cited as saying during the march.

Anti-Semitic incidents in Australia hit record high

Anti-Semitic incidents in Australia have reached record levels, according to an annual report. Australian Jewish organizations have received 962 reports of anti-Jewish violence, vandalism, harassment and intimidation between Oct. 1, 2008 and Sept. 30, 2009, according to Jeremy Jones, the international and community affairs director for the Australia/Israel & Jewish Affairs Council. Jones, addressing the annual conference of the Executive Council of Australian Jewry on Sunday, also noted a decrease in the number of physical assaults on Jews. His 144-page report reveals that the latest technology was being employed to “spread ancient hatred” and that “rhetorical red lines” had been crossed, especially by the political left, which had engaged in comparisons of Jews and Israelis to Nazis. Jones, who has been collating data on anti-Semitic incidents since 1989, said the latest 12-month period saw the “highest ever tally of reports of anti-Jewish violence, vandalism, harassment and intimidation, at a rate more than twice the annual average, mainly due to new peaks in abuse and harassment in public streets and via e-mail.”

Exhibit tells the story of Nazi persecution of gays

The William Way LGBT Community Center is telling one of the Holocaust’s least-known stories – the Nazi persecution of homosexuals. It’s a story of men and women who were arrested and often sentenced to hard labor for what were called indecent acts. The victims were mostly men. Some faced judicial proceedings and criminal charges. Others were simply picked up by SS officers and locked away in concentration camps. Through Friday, the center is displaying „Nazi Persecution of Homosexuals: 1933-1945,“ a traveling exhibition of 32 large panels featuring reproductions of historic photographs and documents. It is organized and circulated by the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum in Washington. The exhibit debuted at the museum in November 2002. It has since been on view twice in Los Angeles and once in Pittsburgh, Chicago, Atlanta, and nearly two dozen other cities.

Neo-Nazi demonstration in Vlašim a fiasco

Today’s neo-Nazi gathering in Vlašim was a complete debacle. Several dozen police officers monitored a total of nine neo-Nazis who literally ran through the town and were paid no attention by passers-by. The gathering was convened by the Autonomous Nationalists, who called it a “March for Political Prisoners”. Zuzana Stránská, spokesperson for the Benešov police force, said the police did not have to resolve any conflicts. Nine neo-Nazis carrying flags and black and white shields with the initials AN set off on their march from the train station carrying a banner inscribed “Freedom For All Nationalists” and chanting slogans such as „Freedom for Political Prisoners”, „Hassling the People“, „The Czech Republic Is A Police State“, „Resistance“ and „Let Our People Go“.

Neo-Nazis claim responsibility for terrorist attack on Russian train

Friday’s crash of a Russian express train between Moscow and Saint Petersburg was caused by a terrorist attack. The Russian Prosecutor-General and the Russian secret service say remnants of explosives have been found at the scene of the tragedy. The Echo of Moscow radio station reports that the neo-Nazi organization Combat 18 has claimed responsibility for the incident. However, analysts contacted by other Russian media say the neo-Nazi claim is not credible and may just be a publicity attempt. Sources vary on the number of those left dead and injured after part of the train derailed. Initial estimates range from 26 – 39 killed and 60 – 96 injured, but the final figures are expected to be higher. The Czech and Slovak representations in Moscow say that so far there seem to have been no Czech or Slovak citizens among the dead or injured.

On Saturday a radical neo-Nazi group, Combat 18, also claimed responsibility. Other nationalist groups later denied the report. Vesti said they were looking at Pavel Kosolapov, an ex-soldier and former associate of the late Chechen rebel leader Shamil Basayev.
