September 1995 von zwei einschlägig bekannten Neonazis ermordet worden. Weil er schwul war. Die beiden Skinheads Richard L. und Dieter M. schlugen Beer nach einem Kneipenbesuch nieder, traten mit ihren Springerstiefeln auf ihn ein und warfen ihn anschließend in die Vils, wo Beer ertrank. Der sogenannte „Vilsmord“ machte bundesweit Schlagzeilen, ein sichtbares Gedenken an Beer fehlt in Amberg bis heute.

Commentary: Neo-Nazi vulgarities increase in mainstream Czech media

Gradually and stealthily, the rhetoric normally used by neo-Nazis is slowly starting to make its way into serious media in the Czech Republic. We have already grown used to seeing young Roma referred to on neo-Nazi websites as “litters of Gypsies”, blacks referred to as “niggers”, and to various slurs being made against Jewish and Vietnamese people. Today the Czech internet daily Deník.cz and its Havír(ov edition, havirovsky.denik.cz, have crossed way over the line. An article on the problems of children hospitalized with jaundice in Havír(ov has appeared under the truly eye-catching headline: “Havír(ov infection unit full once again of Gypsy litter with jaundice” (“Havír(ovská infekce je zase plná malých cikán(at se žloutenkou”). A similar headline ran over the same article on the nationwide Deník.cz server but was changed after about two hours to “Havír(ov infection unit is full of Roma children again”. This is the culmination of a gradual vulgarization of Czech society as a whole.

German expulsions of Roma have long been kept secret

Unlike the French expulsions of Roma currently taking place, Germany has been regularly expelling small groups of Roma for some time now. The most recent group arrived by plane on Wednesday in the Kosovan capital of Prishtina. Deutsche Presse-Agentur reports that like the previous deportations, this one has been shrouded in secrecy. A plane chartered from the Frankfurt-based Eurokoha Company, which specializes in flights to Kosovo, transported about 10 deported Roma from Stuttgart. As they exited the airport they were screened in every way possible; some were then picked up by relatives and set off with them for homes in the countryside. Four Roma with no relatives were transported by official car to the nearby Hotel Aviano. When journalists asked after them there, hotel owner Nexhmedin Arbeni claimed they had all already left.

Roma Anti-Poverty Aid From EU to Be Discussed in October Bucharest Meeting

The European Commission has a “high level” conference planned in Bucharest next month to discuss the contribution and usage of European Union funding for the integration of Roma as part of its fight against poverty. The Bucharest conference will be on Oct. 12 and 13, and will be followed by two regional events on Oct. 14 in the Romanian city of Cluj, and Oct. 20 in the city of Iasi, according to a description of the event on the EU’s website.

In der extrem rechten Szene gab es schon immer Versuche die eigenen Gewissheiten durch Zeitzeugen-Veranstaltungen zu erneuern und zu verbreiten. Langsam sterben die Mitglieder der Erlebnis-Generation des Zweiten Weltkrieg aus. Um die jüngere Neonazi-Generation in ihrer verzerrten Geschichsbetrachtung noch einmal zu bestätigen organisieren Neonzis in Thüringen eine Veranstaltung mit dem Titel „Treffen der Generationen“. Hier treten Landser quasi live auf und erzählen von ihren „Abenteuern“ und „Heldentaten“ oder allgemein wie toll doch für sie das Dritte Reich war. Damit gewinnt NS-Geschichte natürlich an Authentizität. (…) Verantwortlicher für die Homepage ist ein Patrick Weber und sein Germania-Versand mit Postfach in Sondershausen. Treffpunkt dieses „Treffen der Generationen“ war immer das Hotel „Romantischer Fachwerkhof Kutz“, auch genannt „Erlebnisscheune“ in Kirchheim bei Erfurt (Ilm-Kreis). In der „Erlebnisscheune“ fanden auch bereits NPD-Veranstaltungen und NSBM-Konzerte statt. Bisher fanden drei „Treffen der Generationen“ statt: Für den 9. Oktober 2010 ist nun das vierte „Treffen der Generationen“ geplant voraussichtlich „wird unter anderem ein Ritterkreuzträger sprechen“ und es soll einen Infostand des extrem rechten Monatsmagazin „Zuerst!“ geben.

Generalsekretär der Rechtsanwaltskammer im rechtsradikalen Milieu

Wie das österreichische Nachrichtenmagazin “profil” berichtet, hat der Generalsekretär der Bundesrechtsanwaltskammer, Alexander Christian, in den vergangenen Jahren wiederholt an Demonstrationen im Block von Rechtsradikalen teilgenommen. Ein Foto von der Anti-EU-Demonstration im März 2008 zeigt ihn mit dem notorischen Neonazi Gottfried Küssel, ein weiteres Foto bei der Anti-Moscheen-Demonstration in der Brigittenau im September 2007 zeigt ihn mit einem rechten Hooligan. Eine Videosequenz, die Puls 4 damals ausstrahlte, dokumentiert, dass der Jurist in einem Pulk von Skinheads unterwegs war, die mit ausgestreckten Armen “Nationaler Widerstand” skandierten. Auf Facebook posiert der Jurist, der 2006 für die FPÖ zum Nationalrat kandidierte und derzeit in der FPÖ-Organisation Alsergrund aktiv ist, unter “Alex Ballermann” in “Thor Stainer”-T-Shirts und zeigt einschlägige Tätowierungen.

Fusionsgegner verlässt die NPD

Der frühere NPD-Bundesvorständler Andreas Thierry (Jg. 1970) hat seiner Partei den Rücken gekehrt. Patrick Wieschke, Geschäftsführer des NPD-Landesverbandes Thüringen soll einem rechtsextremen Internetportal zufolge den Parteiaustritt bestätigt haben. Thierry, Herausgeber der NS-treuen Zeitschrift „Volk in Bewegung & Der Reichsbote“, gilt als entschiedener Gegner einer Fusion von NPD und DVU. Im NPD-Bundesvorstand war bis vor kurzem für Bildung zuständig. Der gebürtige Österreicher ist Eigenbekunden zufolge seit seinem 16. Lebensjahr „in verschiedenen nationalen Gruppen“ aktiv. Thierry gilt als „Ziehsohn“ des mehrfach verurteilten Altnazis Herbert Schweiger, früher Untersturmführer der Division „Leibstandarte Adolf Hitler“

Rund 70 Mitglieder und Anhänger von „pro NRW“ nahmen heute Mittag an einer etwa einstündigen Demonstration der Rechtspopulisten in Leverkusen-Wiesdorf teil. Angekündigt hatte „pro NRW“ im Vorfeld „wenigstens 200 Teilnehmer“. Auch in anderer Hinsicht hatte die Truppe rund um den Leverkusener Rechtsanwalt und Stadtrat Markus Beisicht den Mund zu voll genommen: Der avisierte Auftritt des stellvertretenden „Republikaner“-Vorsitzenden Stephan Stritter aus Mainz fiel aus. Eine Begründung dafür wurde nicht geliefert. Auch die angeblich erwartete „Abordnung aus Mainz“ fehlte. Bei der Demonstration unter dem Motto „Für Recht und Sicherheit in Wiesdorf – Keine Sonderrechte für Angehörige einer mobilen ethnischen Minderheit“ sprachen neben „pro NRW“-Generalsekretär Markus Wiener der Kölner Stadtrat Jörg Uckermann, der Ex-NPDler Andreas Molau und „pro NRW“-Chef Markus Beisicht.

Organization hopes to convict British Holocaust denier for “minimizing” the scale of Nazi atrocities.A Polish organization began legal action this week to convict British Holocaust denier David Irving for “minimizing” the scale of Nazi atrocities, as the revisionist historian begins his controversial tours of the Nazi death camps in the country. The Open Republic Association Against Anti-Semitism and Xenophobia lodged a complaint with the Institute of National Remembrance- Commission for the Prosecution of Crimes against the Polish Nation (IPN) on Wednesday claiming Irving seeks to “minimize” the scale of Nazi crimes as well as deny the extermination program in his book Hitler’s War, which was recently published in Polish. The legal action comes as Irving, who was jailed in Austria in 2006 for Holocaust denial, embarks on a weeklong tour to concentration camps and the former site of the Warsaw Ghetto. “Let’s not wait for the moment when David Irving commits a new crime in Poland; the evidence indicates clearly that he has already committed this crime,” Open Republic said in its complaint to IPN, which prosecutes both Nazi and Communist era crimes against the Polish people. The group was set up in 1999 in response to the manifestations of xenophobic tendencies in Polish public life and the revival of anti-Semitism and racism, its remit states.

Holocaust survivors and anti-racism groups called on Polish authorities to ban his nine day visit, which is also scheduled to take in a visit to the „Wolf’s Lair“, Hitler’s former local headquarters. Mr Irving told The Daily Telegraph: „I am baffled by the reaction I’ve had in Poland because they should be very grateful that I am here. „Here I am lecturing to the revisionists and setting the record straight. I am saying to them those who believe that not a hair was harmed on the head of the Jewish community that you couldn’t be more wrong.“

Rechtsextreme Musik am Staffelsee

Der NPD-Kreisverband Oberland führt am 25. September im oberbayerischen Murnau am Staffelsee eine Veranstaltung mit dem NPD-Bundesvorsitzenden Udo Voigt und dem Liedermacher Nico durch. Nico Schiemann (Jg. 1979) aus dem badischen Kirrlach ist stellvertretender Vorsitzender des NPD-Kreisverbandes Karlsruhe-Land. Der vormals in Frankfurt/Oder lebende Schiemann schloss sich 1997 der NPD an. Im saarländischen Verfassungsschutzbericht für 2009 wurde der NPD-Funktionär namentlich erwähnt. Ins Visier der dortigen Verfassungsschützer war er durch einen musikalischen Auftritt vor Gleichgesinnten am 7. November 2009 in einer „Fischerhütte“ bei Ottweiler geraten.

Homophobic Megachurch Pastor Accused of Exploiting Teenage Boys

If the allegations in two lawsuits filed Tuesday in Georgia’s DeKalb County are true, staunchly anti-gay megachurch leader Bishop Eddie L. Long told two teenage boys that, according to Holy Scripture, it was cool for them to have sex with him. Maurice Robinson, 20, and Anthony Flagg, 21, have accused Long, the leader of the Atlanta-area New Birth Missionary Baptist Church – one of the largest churches in the nation – of misusing his mentoring role of “pastor, counselor and bishop” to coerce them into sexual acts when they were teens. Their lawsuits allege that Long gave them gifts of cars, clothes, jewelry, electronics, college tuition and overnight trips to places including New York, Las Vegas, Dallas, the Caribbean and New Zealand – and that Long would share bedrooms with them in luxury hotels. Long allegedly would “sleep in the same bed” as Flagg while the teenager was living at the church (Robinson complaint, Flagg complaint). The lawsuits describe Long as engaging in various sex acts with Flagg and Robinson.

Keine Aussicht auf Erfolg – Schwerin will NPD-Demo nicht verbieten

Am Montag hatten die Schweriner Stadtvertreter die Verwaltung aufgefordert, alle rechtlichen Möglichkeiten zu prüfen, die für Samstag angemeldete Demonstration der NPD in Schwerin zu verbieten. Das hat die Verwaltung mittlerweile getan. Ein Verbot wird es allerdings nicht geben. Zu ihrem Bedauern müsse sie mitteilen, so die Schweriner Oberbürgermeisterin Angelika Gramkow (Die Linke) in einem Schreiben an die Stadtfraktionen, dass „nach der derzeitigen Erkenntnislage“ ein Verbot der NPD-Demonstration „rechtlich keine Aussicht auf Erfolg“ habe.

Estonia is celebrating the 66th anniversary of liberating Tallinn from the Nazis. WWII veterans, members of Russian compatriot’s organizations and ordinary people lay flowers at the monument of the Soldier Liberator in downtown Tallinn and gathered at the graves of Soviet Union Heroes Arnold Meri, Endel Puusepp and others.

Latvia opens museum to WWII Jewish ghetto in Riga

The Museum of the Riga Ghetto opened on Wednesday in the Latvian capital to commemorate the plight of Latvia’s Jews during the Nazi occupation of the country during World War II. The museum is in the eastern district of Riga where the ghetto was located during the war years. The museum’s opening ceremony was attended by the rabbi behind the creation of the museum, Menachem Barkan, Riga Mayor Nils Usakovs and Latvian Culture Minister Ints Dalderis, as well as other officials and foreign diplomats. Riga was occupied by the Nazis from 1941 to 1944, during which time the country lost 98% of its Jewish population – more than 70,000 people.

Finnish neo-fascist at martial arts show in Poland

Niko Puhakka, a neo-fascist from Finland was allowed to fight at a martial arts show in Lodz, central Poland and show off his Nazi tattoos. During bouts organized by KSW, the premiere mixed martial arts organization in Poland, Puhakka showed off his a naked chest with the neo-Nazi organization Blood&Honour tattooed on his chest. The fascist organization, which calls for violence against “the enemies of the race”, is illegal in Poland. “It’s a scandal that a neo-Nazi was allowed to participate in the show,” Marcin Kornak from “Never Again” association which fights against racism, xenophobia and intolerance told Polish Radio.
