Police have arrested two boys whom they believe spray painted a Second Street playground with swastikas and other Nazi-related items in August. Police rounded up the two teen suspects on Sept. 12 in a group of six teenagers whom police arrested vandalizing another building on Second Street, using a sledgehammer to break out windows, police said. “Based on the location of the event and the acts of vandalism, investigators believed that these juveniles may have been responsible” for the Nazi tags, Detective Lt. Gregory Staffordsmith wrote in an email. Police charged the 13- and 14-year-old suspects with bias intimidation and criminal mischief, Staffordsmith said. The rest of the teens ranged in age from 12 to 15. All six were charged with criminal trespassing, Staffordsmith said.
